When Red Flags Repeat

Don’t Date Duck is a survivor-led documentation project centered on allegations involving Randy Clayton Duck of Philadelphia PA/New Jersey/Virginia/Washington, while also addressing a broader and very real pattern many people recognize.

This site and project are referred to as Don’t Date Duck  and also Don’t Date. Duck.

The distinction is intentional.

Don’t Date Duck reflects the project’s initial focus on allegations tied to Randy Clayton Duck, shared by individuals who experienced harm firsthand.
Don’t Date. Duck. speaks to something broader: recognizing harmful behavior early and choosing not to engage with it...  stepping away, opting out, and “ducking” situations that signal manipulation, deception, or abuse.

This project documents alleged behaviors including manipulation, narcissistic abuse, deception, and the misuse or fabrication of authority in intimate relationships. While the initial focus reflects specific allegations tied to one individual, the patterns described are not unique to one person.

Many people encounter their own version of a “Randy Duck” — someone who presents power, credibility, status, or authority (real or claimed) to gain trust, control, or access, and then uses it to manipulate or harm.

This space exists for:

  • Sharing firsthand experiences

  • Recognizing patterns and red flags

  • Processing what happened

  • Speaking openly without judgment

Stories shared here are presented as allegations, based on personal experience. Sensitive details are redacted to protect privacy and safety. This site does not exist to harass, threaten, or speculate. It exists to document, reflect, and warn.

If you’ve lived through something similar with the "DuckFather", you’re welcome to share your story - whether to relate, to vent, or simply to be heard.

You are not alone.

Why I'm Doing This...

I first learned in 2021 that Randy Duck was not being honest about his military background. At the time, it felt concerning but not urgent. It was something disappointing, but easy to explain away.

What changed was watching someone I cared about go through an experience that got worse over time — not better.

Even after another website, Valor Guardians, publicly documented his actual service record, the behavior continued. The misrepresentation didn’t stop. It escalated. The stories continued, the authority claims persisted, and the personal treatment became more troubling. That’s when I started asking more questions — not out of curiosity, but out of concern.

He still wore Navy apparel... every. single.day. He still spoke about his DD-214.  He still presented himself as retired Navy and described experiences consistent with a 20-year career.

That was the moment I realized this wasn’t confusion or exaggeration. It was persistence. At one point, I realized he was telling the story of  Cuba Gooding Jrs "Men of Honor".

I recently began reaching out to women who had been involved with him at different points in time. As I listened to their stories, something stood out: years had passed, and I could still hear the impact in their voices. The confusion. The self-doubt. The anger and frustration. The lasting effect of what they believed was love, and later realized was built on lies.

Different women. Different timelines with some overlapping. The same patterns.

I believe that as long as there are people willing to accept these stories at face value, this behavior will continue. Credibility — especially when reinforced by friends, coworkers, social circles, or community spaces — allows harm to repeat.

The purpose of this project is exposure, not punishment. It exists so people can know who they are dealing with before they give up their time, trust, finances, or sense of self.

I think about women seeking companionship later in life. Women who are established, who have careers, homes, and children, and who may overlook red flags because they want to believe in connection. As we get older, hope can get quieter, and warning signs can become easier to rationalize away.

Some of the women I spoke with walked away feeling defeated. Some left without personal belongings or their money. Some chose silence out of embarrassment. Others moved on because challenging a narrative that everyone else seemed to accept felt impossible.

I come from a family that speaks up... with multiple veterans — some retired, some still serving. We respect military service deeply. Four years of honorable service deserves respect. This is not about diminishing real service.

This site exists to document patterns, to place information side by side, and to make sure what happened to real women doesn’t quietly happen again.
